Authentication: Import Additional Email Addresses with Prefetch
The Active Directory prefetch currently imports only the primary email address for each user. This creates a problem if the user recieves an email under an alias, the message does not show up in their mail manager (user portal) unless you manually add the alias to the account. Also, the Prefetch currently overwrites all user accounts so if you manually add an address to an account, the additional address is lost with the next AD prefetch.
This is possible in UTM9. Using the “create backend users” option, all configured email aliases will be added to the linked user object created on the UTM and visible as aliased mail addresses.

For me, that it is no soloution, to add the additional adresses manualy, even if they don't will be deletet by prefetch.

I just tested this on 7.404, and Aaron is correct - the additional email addresses were not found by the AD prefetch. I thought that Ihad tested this before and that it had worked, but that is obviously incorrect! I'll add my vote here and observe that it's counter-productive to erase information in a user record if it's not being updated - a quick band-aid would be to stop erasing any additional emails in an existing record!

This is another subject I've worked with Astaro support on. they confirmed that the Active Directory Prefetch will only import the primary email address for each account. This Exchange server is authoritative for several mail domains many of the users have multiple addresses with different domain suffixs'. Also, I've manually added the additional addresses to user accounts, but the prefetch seems to recache every so often wiping away whatever manual work I've done.

Aaron, did you ask about this on the User BB?
I'm not certain, but I think the AD prefetch works like you want. But, yes, the Astaro does give precedence to your AD server.
