I think this is a duplication request of http://feature.astaro.com/forums/17359-astaro-security-gateway-feature-requests/suggestions/193830-up2date-configuration-roll-back-option?ref=title

Well I think pattern updates need to be included!! I just had my Astaro ASG die on me a few hours ago, and it happened RIGHT after a new pattern update was installed! Good thing I had my other router on standby for this exact case.
Also, funny thing is, when I went to the Astaro forums to report it, they're no longer up.... Wonder if they got hit by their own update bug?? NG

Or this idea also may help to prevent some of the up2date issues in my eyes:

I think an opposite feature of Up2Date needs to be created, a "BackDateIt" feature would be great, Just select a previous ver like 7.402 and click apply. Restore 7..5 back to 7.402 and undo all the changes.

I agree. I recently upgraded to 7.500 and had the feed script issue (to be fixed in 7.501) at which point I learnt that a backup does not roll back!!!
Fortunately everything still works but when you've got multiple devices scattered throughout the country - reinstalling just sometimes isn't immediately possible!

Yes, this would be incredibly useful. As of now, I have to educate all our customers to not install new up2dates immediately (rather ask me before installing). Of course, many of them have already learned it the hard way...
Bob, the feature you linked seems to be about an automatic configuration backup. IMHO, that is a gimmick to save lazy admins. :) This is full a system rollback feature (e.g. push a button to roll back from 7.600 to 7.504). There is no workaround for this besides reinstalling.
